General information

Vanworx is one of the UK’s leading leisure vehicle specialists, designing and building high-spec VW, Ford and MAN TGE campervans, commercial sports vans, and off-grid campers. As a authorised Ford recognised Convertor and VW Integrated Partner, we meet strict manufacturing standards and offer Whole Vehicle Type Approval on our custom-built campers.

Our HQ is situated in Bridgwater, just minutes from the Dunball Interchange (Junction 23 of the M5). Our purpose-built facility offers excellent access for customers travelling from across the South West, including Bristol, Exeter, Devon, Dorset, and South Wales. Our Bridgwater headquarters is home to our vehicle showroom, which gives customers the opportunity to view our latest campervans, discuss conversion options, and see the quality of our craftsmanship first-hand.

We also operate a dedicated campevan workshop in Portland, Dorset, which supports our growing camper production capabilities.

We specialise in Volkswagen Transporter and Crafter, Ford Transit Custom, Transit and Donor Campers, and MAN TGE.

Yes. Each of our Vanworx campers are tailored to meet your travel needs, offering comfort, durability, and cutting-edge features for any journey. Customers can choose from a range of layouts, interior finishes, seating options, electrical systems, off-grid packages, wheels, and exterior styling. Our team will guide you through the best options for your needs and budget.

Build times vary depending on the model and complexity of your order. Typical build slots range from several weeks to a few months.

Absolutely. We can install lithium battery systems, solar panels, inverters, hot-water and heating systems, and other off-grid components suitable for long-term independent travel.

Yes. Vanworx is proud to hold Whole Vehicle Type Approval (WVTA), the highest safety standard in the UK and Europe. This ensures that vehicles meet relevant environmental, safety and security standards. We are proud to be one of the few converters in the UK who hold this accreditation.

Warranty & aftercare

We offer a 3 year warranty on all new custom built adventure vans.

No. As a VW Integrated Partner and Ford Pro Convertor, our conversions are approved and do not invalidate your base vehicle warranty.

Vanworx are able to provide an annual service at either our Bridgwater or Portland workshops – or at any official VW Commercial, Ford, or MAN dealer.

Yes. Vanworx are delighted to partner Evolution Funding, the UK’s largest motor finance broker. With options extending up to 150-month terms, Evolution Funding enables our customers to achieve their dream of owning a Vanworx campervan with manageable and affordable payment plans.

Registration, Tax & Insurance

Many Vanworx builds qualify for DVLA “Motor Caravan” classification, but this depends on the final specification and DVLA assessment. We will advise you on the required criteria and guide you through the application process if applicable.

There are a range of benefits of motorhome registration:

  • Potentially lower insurance costs;
  • Different MOT class (Class 4 instead of Class 7, depending on weight);
  • Reduced road tax, depending on vehicle emissions category; and
  • Recognition as a leisure vehicle rather than a commercial van.

We can provide the necessary build documentation and guidance for your application, but the owner must submit the DVLA request directly.
